Only those who brave its dangers, comprehend its mystery!"

Around the world

Suez Canal, the narrow waterway linking the Mediterranean sea and the Red sea,it is located between two continents -Asia & Africa. However, flowing through Egypt all the way.

Stretching over a length of 193 kilometers,it’s one of the vital shipping lanes of the world. It contributes to transportation of approximately 15% of global goods.

It takes around 15 hours to transit through the canal. Traversing the canal through the aqua water sandwiched between sandy banks is a unique experience.Truly enthralling and refreshing for sea-weary mariners.

Turning back the clock

Torrey Canyon disaster

On 18th 1967,supertanker SS Torrey Canyon ran aground on Pollard’s Rock in the Seven Stones reef between Cornwall and the Scilly Isles.

Grounding caused the entire hull of the vessel to split into pieces, spilling more than 100000 tonnes of crude oil into the sea.

The aftermath of the disaster was simply catastrophic.
