The following lists represent the most common alarms & trip functions incorporated with Aux. Boiler control system.However,these might vary to some extent based on the specific requirements of the Classification society and at the discretion of the maker.
Alarms without trip function
- High water level (activated by level transmitter)
- Low water level (activated by level transmitter)
- Low steam pressure (activated by pressure switch)
- High oil temperature (activated by thermostat)
Alarms with simultaneous burner trip function
- Too low water level (activated by the level transmitter & the level switch)
- High steam pressure (activated by pressure switch)
- Low fuel oil pressure (activated by pressure switch)
- Low fuel oil temperature (activated by thermostat, whenever HFO in use)
- Flame failure (activated by flame eye/ scanner)
- Burner swing-out (activated by limit switch whenever the burner door remains open)
- High Flue gas temperature at uptake (activated by temperature transmitter)
- FD fan failure
- Low combustion air pressure (activated by pressure switch)
- Quick closing valve closed (activated by limit switch)
